The Change of Membership Request is used to ensure that Product Providers are kept up to
date with any changes in Service Provider and Panel relationships for your firm that can have
an effect on your commission payments. It is vital to communicate these changes so that you
can be certain that the Product Providers assign the correct commission terms to new business
applications received from your Firm.
A single request can be created and submitted to one or more Product Providers to change the
relevant membership details held in their Agency records. This request will be verified by the
Service Provider involved before it is sent on to the Product Providers.
Select Service Provider Screen
A Change of Membership Request must be made with reference to a single Service Provider
that is selected on this screen. If the service has previously recorded a relationship between a
Service Provider and your firm, then a ‘+’ symbol is displayed.
Change Existing Relationship. Choose this option if you want to inform Product Providers
that your firm is Leaving a Service Provider or changing its Panel usage.
• Clicking this option displays a list of
Service Providers participating in the service.
• If the service has previously recorded a relationship between your firm and a Service
Provider, then a ‘+’ symbol is displayed next to them.
• Select one Service Provider then click OK to proceed.
Joining Service Provider.
• Clicking this option displays a list of Service Providers participating in the service.
• If the service has previously recorded a relationship between your firm and a Service
Provider, then a ‘+’ symbol is displayed next to them.
• Select one Service Provider to join then click OK to proceed.
The options available are set according to your choice of Change Instruction.
If Change Existing Relationship was selected, then the options
are:
• Leaving Service Provider.
• Leaving Panel.
• Joining Panel.
If Join Service Provider was selected, then the option is automatically set to:
• Joining Service Provider
Panels Section
Having chosen the Service Provider and Type of Membership Change the next step is
specify any related Service Provider Panel relationship changes. Not all Service Providers offer Panels. If that is the case for your selected Service Provider, then this section will state ‘There are no panels available to join / leave’ (as appropriate) and no input
is required in this section.
If the Type of Change selected is Leaving Panel, then select one or more of your firms existing Panel relationships to inform Product Providers to remove those Panel relationships from your Agency records.
If the Type of Change selected is Joining Panel or Joining Service Provider, then you can select one or more of the Panels available from your selected Service Provider to inform Product Providers to
add those Panel relationships to your Agency records.
