The Additional Agencies Request is used to submit a single request to one or more Product Providers to set up one or more Additional Agencies for your Firm. It is assumed that your Firm already has Terms of Business with the selected Product Providers and therefore has one or more Master Agencies setup with them.
The Additional Agencies Requested will be setup under an existing Agency that is often referred to as a Master Agency in the industry. If there could be any ambiguity as to which Master Agency your Additional Agencies are to be setup under (larger firms may have more than one) then you have the opportunity to specify the Master Agency Code required on the Product Provider Selection screen
If your firm does not have Terms of Business with a Product Provider, then your Request will be rejected. If you wish to apply for Terms of Business, then you are recommended to use the Origo Agency Registration Service that provides a one-stop shop service for this type of activity
This screen is split into the following sections:
• Agency Details
• Membership Arrangement
• Correspondence
• Further Information
• Commission Statements
Agency Details Section
This section captures the name and ownership information for the new Agency.
Agency Name - This is a plain text description of the Agency to be recorded by the Product Providers with the Agency Code assigned to this Agency when it is setup. For example, the name of the Adviser,
Division, Branch, Region etc. that the Agency is to be associated with.
Agency Owner - A dropdown list that specifies the type of business entity that the Product Provider is to
associate the Agency with.
Business Types - A checkbox that can be ticked depending on the types of business the agency will be used for. Some Product Providers do not support all types of business and this field is used to
prevent Request Items being sent to Product Providers that cannot process them.
Membership Arrangement Section
This section captures the Service Provider and Panel to be associated with the new Agency. There
are two types of Service Provider relationship:
Verified: The Service Provider is a registered participant in the Agency Administration Service and has previously verified their relationship with your firm. This means that Product Providers receiving this Request do not need to carry out their own due diligence and are therefore able to process the request more efficiently. You can now select from a list of verified Panel relationships your firm has with that Service Provider
Unverified: The Other option was chosen when selecting a Service Provider for this Request and the name of the Service Provider was manually entered. You can now manually type in the name of the Service Provider Panel to link this Agency too. Product Providers will perform their own due diligence when processing this Request.
Correspondence Section
This section captures the full set of details to be used by Product Providers when they need to
correspond with you on matters relating to this Agency.
Click "use profile" to automatically populate this section with the Correspondence information that is stored by the service for your firm. You are free to overtype this information. Any correspondence details entered into this section will not be applied to the correspondence details stored by the service for your firm. Only an Administrator User can do this
Further Information Section
This section contains a single data field to capture any additional information that will help the Product Providers to process this Request.
Commission Statements Section
This section captures the address details that Product Providers will use when posting paper Commission Statements for this Agency.
Check "as correspondence" if the Product Providers are to use the same address details as already for
Correspondence.
Product Provider Specific Information
